Find Yourself Space - Where The Creativity Flows!
Many people these days are working from home, and for the best part of last year I worked at home, it can make sense financially by not having to rent office space and practically too. Last year I managed to turned out a large amount of work from my laptop, but it wasn't all plain sailing...
Let me give you a typical scenario. I get up have breakfast and turn on the laptop, after 25 minutes the telephone rings I ignore it so it rings again and it's a sales call, 10 minutes later I'm back into my creative space, then the door bell rings, and the gas man wants to read the meter, then tells me his life story and financial history, (I never have worked out why that happens) shortly after two wet noses tell me it's time for their walk. I'm sure you know the scenario, but lots of little distractions throughout the day can lead to a lot of time lost, and certainly a stemming of the creative flow, so for me I moved back into my office, where it's quiet, and the creativity flows. As product developers a lot of what we do is recording video screencasts, amongst other things which require concentration from you and silence around you.
So where is your creative space? If you haven't found one yet than I strongly recommend that you find one, not only will you produce better results, but you'll do it quicker and have more time to enjoy life after all - isn't that what it's all about..? ___________________________________________________________ Automatic Facebook Updates
