"I didn't think I was doing anything different physically, but my mind was concentrating on loss, loss of business, relationships, mounting debt, so I was attracting more of it, no matter how hard I tried to kick myself out of it. I just didn't realise it at the time."

Several months went by and John met his future wife Kerry, and her positive influence on him put a lot of his troubles into perspective.

"I remember getting into my £100 car one day and looking at a tape by Ron Ball, and realising that I had not been subject to any personal development input for months. It doesn't matter who you are, personal development is for life, and must be done every day."

Then one day while in conversation, Kerry suggested that John should start his own karate club-and that was it.

"For the first time in almost 3 years I was focussed, and determined with a clear vision, what happened next was amazing. I was then asked by our local community centre to start a club, the same day I met with my good friend, by chance, whom I had not seen for over 6 months, who came on board as an instructor, and we had dozens of enquiries and students on our first night, everything just dovetailed, it was as though it, was waiting for us."

The club has grown, and has a loyal following of students. John was now living his dream of teaching karate at his own club, and found that because of his own experiences, has a remarkable talent to teach, and the club is one of the most successful in the area.

"Teaching karate for me is so rewarding, to see people learn and grow, in a positive way, is what we should all be doing, so I set out to find a way to do this."

More recently, John travelled to London and found exactly what he was looking for - Success University.

"I wanted a way for everyone to become involved with personal development, to improve their lives, not just for financial success, but relationships, health, quality of life, and to make people realise that they can achieve anything, anything at all, Success University offers all this and more."

John is now happy to say that he has found what he has been looking for with karate and personal development, but more importantly he is looking forward to working directly with more people, and as many people as possible to improve their lives, with personal development.
