When you read around the different discussion forums on the internet you begin to see a pattern emerge from the questions asked, spend an hour looking around the Warrior Forum and you'll soon find questions like:

  3.  'What product should I buy'

As you may or may not know I have been involved with Traditional Shotokan Karate for almost 30 years, and teach at my club Fudoshin Karate 5 nights a week, and I see many people come through the door enquiring to start karate lessons.

Karate itself is more than just a sport however, it becomes a way of life while dramatically increasing a persons confidence, health and fitness and self esteem, and to see students both adults and children develop that and enhance their lives is a joy to behold.

The funny thing is you can tell exactly how long a student will train for based on their initial questions.

The kind of questions that set alarm bells off for me when I see a new student for the first time are:

  1.  'How long will it take me to reach black belt'

  2.  'Do I have to train every session'

  3.  'Is their a fasttrack method, or accelerated belt system'

But the people that go on to reach black belt are the ones that took a step by step approach, invested in courses that they learned from and practised until they got it right learning and developing a number of life enhancing skills and abilities, in fact many black belts have successfully used their martial arts skills to develop successful and sustainable businesses using black belt principles.

Looking at the questions above, successful people will know by the effort they are putting into something, when they'll reach their goal point whether that's a black belt or a goal in your business plan, and by focussing on what needs to be done you often surprise yourself at how quickly you reach your goals.
